A happy, inclusive school where we celebrate all achievements
Sports Premium 2015-2016
Sports and PE development continued to receive considerable focus last year. Physical Education, in its widest sense, is viewed as a crucial area of our pupils’ well-being and progression. At Woodlands pupils thrive on opportunities within school and regionally. Members of our Special Olympics group attained honours in numerous West Midlands event, with several pupils also gaining medals at national level in athletics.
In 2015-16 we received £8,355.
This was used to ensure that pupils receive consistently high quality coaching in such areas as athletics, multi-skills, gymnastics, dance, games, yoga and Sports Leader accreditation.
Coaches are provided by SSCU Limited. The quality and inclusivity of provision is constantly monitored and reviewed. The vast majority of pupils made at least good progress in PE.
